Indoor Hockey Rules 2007-2008

    1. Games must be played within the allotted 40 minute period - this allows a 5 minute warm up period and a 3 minute break at half time. Games will be 16 minutes each way.
    2. All games must finish at the end of the allotted 40 minute period even if the full minutes of playing time has not been completed. Time will be allowed to complete penalty corners and penalty flicks.
    3. Teams failing to attend a fixture or arriving more than 10 minutes late will forfeit the game 10-0.
    4. The first named team in a fixture will be responsible for completing a score sheet and returning it to the league organiser within one week.
    5. In the event of a colour clash the second named team will be required to change shirts.
    6. Two types of fixtures will operate: ‘Round Robin’, where the team sitting out will supply the umpires and 'Straight', where each team will supply a non-playing umpire.
    7. Teams failing to supply an umpire will docked 2 points in the case of a 'Round Robin' fixture and will forfeit the game 10-0 in the case of a 'Straight Fixture''.
    8. In the event of two teams having equal points their respective league positions will be decided first by goal difference and then by goals scored.
    9. Red Cards - A player awarded a Red Card Class 2 will automatically miss the next two weeks of indoor hockey. A Red Card Class 1 will miss all hockey until the discipline committee has met. Red Card Class 1 should be reported in the normal manner.
